Show Arts, Letters and Science of the nature of the content of the Social Service Sequence, responsibility is located in the Sociology Department. Mr. Raymond H. Clark is coordinating the Social Service Sequence program. Required Courses: The following courses are required to obtain a Bachelor of Arts/Science degree in Sociology with a Social Service emphasis. A minimum of 45 credit hours and not more than 60 hours of Sociology credits with an additional 20 hours in the allied areas are required. Each of the following is required: 1 Introduction to Sociology 20 Social Problems 30 Introduction to Social Work 50 Introduction to Social Psychology 132 Child Welfare 138 Social Legislation 139 Field Experience 199 Seminar One from each of the following 4 groups: Group I 18 Sociology of Marriage 118 Sociology of the Family Group II 105 History of Sociology 106 Social Theory Group III 160 Social Statistics 165 Social Research Group IV 135 Community Organization 170 Social Casework 171 Social Group Work hour hour Allied Courses: Students are encouraged to focus on a broad, interdisciplinary program in those areas which will enhance their understanding of man and society.
