Show Part 2 Published and Pictured Events First Council Meeting of the Second Year Provides Compensation for Elected Officials MARRIOTT-SLATERVILLE CITY NOTICE AND AGENDA Notice is hereby given that the Marriott-Slaterville City Council will hold a regularly scheduled meeting on Thurs., July 6, 2000, at City Hall, 1195 West 400 North (DDO Bldg. 390), which meeting shall begin promptly at 6:00 P.M. as follows: CITY COUNCIL MEETING - THURSDAY, JULY 6, 2000 - 6:00 PM 1. Call to Order/Pledge of Allegiance/Invocation. 2. General consent items/report from council staff: a. Approval of June 15, 2000 (and any prior) minutes. b. Approval of business licenses: i. Automotive Experts at 1285 South 1850 West (Riverside Industrial Park), to do automobile repair in the M-2 Manufacturing Zone ii. VFW Post #1481, existing business at 907 West 12th St, to expand to include a restaurant for members and guests in the M-l Manufacturing Zone (accessory use to a quasi-public use) iii. Temporary Business License for Lizwoerks to sell sunglasses and related merchandise on the premises of and with permission from Steve's Car Care at 1181 West 1200 South (C-3P Zone). B. Introduction of Marc R. Edminster of Lewis Young Robertson & Burningham, Inc., and brief report of financing and other options available to the city. 4. Public Hearing - Discussion/Action on Ordinance 2000-10. an Ordinance Providing For The Compensation of Elected And Statutory Officers of Marriott-Slaterville City. a. Motion to adjourn public meeting and open public hearing. b. Staff presentation: Duncan Murray, City Attorney, and/or Bill Morris, City Recorder. c. Public comment d. Motion to close public hearing and reconvene public meeting. e. Discussion/Action by city council (no public comment). 5. Public Hearing - Discussion/Action on recommendation from the Planning Commission to amend Title 13 and Title 14 to add Chapters 13.32 and 14.40 as Ordinance 2000-11 for Zoning and Land Use Enforcement and Penalties by adopting enforcement procedures, imposing fines and/or jail sentence for violations, not eliminating a private cause of action, and other enforcement guidelines. a. Motion to adjourn public meeting and open public hearing. b. Staff presentation: Duncan Murray, City Attorney, and/or Bill Morris, City Recorder. c. Public comment d. Motion to close public hearing and reconvene public meeting. e. Discussion/Action by city council (no public comment). 6. Public Hearing - Discussion/Action on recommendation from the Planning Commission to amend Title 14 to add Chapter 14.31 as Ordinance 2000-12 for Wireless Telecommunication Towers and Antennae regulating the construction of wireless communication towers and antennae (recommended by the planning commission). a. Motion to adjourn public meeting and open public hearing. b. Staff presentation: Duncan Murray, City Attorney, and/or Bill Morris, City Recorder. c. Public comment d. Motion to close public hearing and reconvene public meeting. e. Discussion/Action by city council (no public comment). 7. Public Hearing - Discussion/Action regarding recommendation from the Planning Commission to adopt Ordinance 2000-13, Amendments to the Zoning Ordinance, particularly various chapters of Title 13, including but not limited to chapters regarding Cluster Subdivision Special Provisions, etc. (recommended by the planning commission). a.
