Show Mulligans, or Excel. Council meetings are scheduled for the 1st and 3rd Thursday at 6:00 PM each month. The Planning Commission meets the 2nd and 4th Wednesday each month at 7:00 PM. Some meetings may be canceled. Anyone wishing to be on the agenda must contact the City Offices by Friday at 2:30 p.m. the week before the meeting. LOCAL UPDATES A short summary of recent mayoral, council, and planning decisions, and other local affairs. For more exhaustive information please see minutes on file at the city office. General Plan Completed. The general plan review session was completed at the last City Council meeting where the Council reviewed the final recommendations from the Planning Commission. Anyone interested in the new general plan is free to review it at the city office. Amendments only for specific areas in the general plan may be filed annually. The next entire general plan review session will be in 2006. Volunteers. LDS Stake seeks volunteers and goods. Utah Foster Care Foundation is seeking individuals and community groups to volunteer time and/or goods to provide support for children being removed from abusive homes and placed into foster care. The community and the stake are seeking donations of assorted items such as small pillows, fleece blankets, hygiene items, stuffed animals, children's books, new shoes, socks, gloves, hats, crafts and school supplies. The donations should be made by March 30. Donations can be dropped off at the City Office or the LDS ward building. For more information contact Eilleen at 731-1907 or Randy at 399-3211. Thank you any donations you can make! Legacy Highway Meeting. Weber County Open House will be held February 28, 2001, 5pm-8pm., at Hooper Elementary School, 5500 South 5900 West. The transportation corridor alignment and impacts will be discussed. Senior Citizens RSVP. Seniors interested in volunteering, you need look no further. The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) currently utilizes 756 volunteers to solve critical problems in education, public safety, human needs, and the environment. Contact Debbie DeVries at 625-3782 for more information.. Tax Committee. Weber County is seeking to fill its tax review committee that hears and reviews property tax issues. Call Doug Larsen in the Assessor's Office at 399-8573 for details. National College Rodeo Championship. May 24-26, 2001, the Golden Spike Event Center will host this rodeo with athletes from across the western states. Call Stacy Skeen at 399-8268 to volunteer at the event or for more information.
