Welch (granddaughter of Josiah Perry) (4) daughter of William howard Perry Perry (8) "Family of Joseph Smith" (9) History of Daniel Carter Stephen's obituary from "The Saint's Herald" Perry.Stephen Perry was born 12th August, 1794, in Windsor county, Vermont; joined the church in 1834; was afflicted for thirty-three years with fits, and prayed to the Lord that he might be healed as a testimony, and he never had another fit. He was baptized into the Reorganized Church in May, 1870, by E. C. Brand; in his confirmation the blessing was sealed on his head that he should live till satisfied with life. It was verified. He fell asleep in Jesus at Galland's Grove, Iowa, on the 29th December, 1886, aged 92 years, 4 months and 17 days, without a struggle or a pang. Funeral services by Elder E. C. Brand.
