Weber County cities are no exception. "I think it's what makes a city fun," said Ogden Mayor Matthew Godfrey. "In the high-tech world - which is what we're focusing on - it's all about living experience. Godfrey said he views a river parkway as vital to attracting businesses to Ogden. But even before Ogden started courting high-tech companies, it saw the promise that rivers offered. In partnership with local businesses and volunteers, the city created the Ogden River Parkway from the mouth of Ogden Canyon to Washington Boulevard.
