Show Student Affairs fice of Campus Police. The Center is open from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. The health staff consists of a part-time physician, a part-time podiatrist, a registered nurse practitioner, an E.M.T./nursing assistant, and a secretary/receptionist. The physician visits from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. daily, and the podiatrist visits Thursday from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. The nurse is available during all hours listed. Treatment and consultation may be arranged for by visiting the Center during office hours. Medical care at the Student Health Center is paid from student health service fees. Any further medical care beyond that provided at the Health Center must be paid for by the student or his/her insurance plan. A health and accident policy for students is available only at the time of registration at a special rate. This insurance plan is especially designed for students at Weber State College for protection against medical expenses for injury and illness. Unless the student is protected by some other form of insurance, it is strongly urged that they take advantage of the low cost insurance plan. Brochures about this plan are available at the Student Health Center. Students are encouraged to consult the Health Center on any problem they may have concerning their health. WEBER STATE COLLEGE UNION The Weber State College Union is the social, cultural, and recreational center of the campus. It offers a variety of services to students, faculty, staff, alumni, and the community. The Union is staffed with a team of professionals whose primary mission is to facilitate the learning process by helping students with their intellectual, interpersonal, and leadership development. In addition, the staff works to maintain an environment which fulfills many of the College community needs through: Conference Rooms, a large ballroom, and a 225 seat auditorium that are available for rent. Food Service facilities including table service dining in the Skyroom, the Gallery Cafeteria, the Junction Snackbar, and a Sweet Shoppe. The Food Service department also caters banquets, receptions, etc. in the Union and elsewhere on campus. Student Activity Center houses the student government offices, a College Activities Board Room, a Legislative Council Room, and desks for various student organizations. The Games Area offers bowling, billiards, video games, and table tennis, at minimal fees. The entire area may be rented to groups. The Arts & Crafts Center has power equipment, carpentry hand tools, a dark room facility, and a line-o-scribe poster machine. The Main Desk offers ticket sales to athletic events, ski passes, theatre tickets, and a check cashing service. The Main Desk is the central lost and found depository of the college. The Outing Center rents recreational equipment such as: cross-country skiis, camping equipment, game equipment, and canoes, at nominal fees. The Bookstore sells all books and supplies needed for classwork at Weber State College.
