Show III. B Economics School of Business and Economics Requirements: See School of Business and Economics section of the catalog. Major Requirements (minimum of 35 credit hours): A. Required Courses (23 credit hours): Economics SS274 (5); 301* (4), 302* (4), 309 (4), 320 (4), 480 (two credit hours in the selected area of concentration). Elective areas of concentration (12 credit hours): Area of concentration and courses selected must be approved by the department prior to taking the classes. 1. Decision Theory: Economics 303 (4), 455 (4); classes may also be selected from related areas such as Management, Computer Information Systems, Mathematics, etc. 2. Economics of Public Service: Economics 303 (4), 330 (3), 430 (4), 432 (4); classes may also be selected from related areas such as Management, Political Science, etc. 3. International Trade and Business: Economics 311 (3), 312 (3), 419 (3); classes may also be selected from related areas such as Marketing, Finance, Political Science, History, Foreign Language, etc. 4. Manpower and Industrial Relations: Economics 340 (5); classes may also be selected from related areas such as Management, Marketing, Finance, Sociology, etc. 5. Natural Resource Economics: Economics 361 (3), 364 (3), 432 (4); classes may also be selected from related areas such as Sociology, Environmental Sciences, History, etc. "Whichever is not selected to satisfy the core (courses selected to satisfy core cannot be used in the major also). Program: General Economics Major — Bachelor of Arts Degree (Social Science Emphasis) I. College Requirements: A. See Bachelor of Arts General Education requirements. B. A minor is required. C. 183 total hours are required for this degree. D. Sixty of the 183 total hours must be upper division (courses numbered 300 and above). II. There are no general School requirements for this degree. III. Major Requirements: A. A GPA of 2.50 or better in all major courses. A "D" grade is not permitted in major courses. 198 B. D.
