Show 14 industrial production--important as it is - - still represents only about one-third of the production of all goods and services. The greater part of the economy is still concerned with taking in each other's wash. Expenditures for services are still about 3 times that for durable goods while expenditures for non-durable goods would be 4 times that for durables. The economy is more than automobiles or sack dresses and still produces much that people want and will buy now.
