Cow Palace Page 1 The San Francisco Chamber of Commerce shares the feeling of pride which our City feels in playing host to the largest Junior Livestock Show of its kind in the world. Certainly the Directors of the #1-A District Agricultural Association and Nye Wilson and his staff are entitled to great credit for this achievement. The San Francisco Chamber has consistently supported the Grand National Junior Livestock Exposition as well as the Annual Grand National Livestock Exposition here at the Cow Palace. Each year, as have a number of our member firms and interested organizations, the Chamber has contributed toward the purchase of a calf by one of the young winners of the San Francisco Junior Chamber's Livestock Merit Award Program. Our Agricultural Committee has inaugurated a "Salute to Farm Youth" held annually in conjunction with the Junior Grand National, at which we honor at a luncheon the leading members of the 4-H Clubs and Future Farmers of America Chapters of this State. We echo the thinking expressed last week before our Board of Directors by Walter Rodman when he cited the need for even greater civic recognition of the importance of this show and the necessity for more wide-spaead support of the show by local firms and community leaders You by your attendance here today obviously realize the importance of giving these youngsters who are exhibiting here today ample encouragement
