Show 3 - Thank you all for coming. contribution to our national welfare. Obviously, if such were not the case, there would not be so many splendid men devoting their business lives to the furtherance of these industries. Finally, it said that this conference was called for the worthwhile purpose of benefiting each other by the interchange of information and ideas. Certainly if we had not thought the conference worthy of your time, we would not have held it and, had you not shared that view, you would not have honored us by your presence. These are sound points - all of them - and I do wish sincerely to extend you a warm welcome here today and to express the hope that the program arranged for you will prove rewarding, and that we may leave here today better qualified to expand further the great benefits that the mining and chemical industries confer upon our economy and our national well being. |
