Show Tuition and Student Fees Credit/No-Credit Registration —Any student may register for classes on a credit/no-credit basis. Freshmen students may register for only one credit/no-credit class each quarter. A student who has completed 44 hours of college credit and who is not on academic warning or probation may register for no more than two classes each quarter. The student should declare this kind of registration on his original registration but will be permitted to make a change within the first six weeks of the quarter. (Refer to Credit/No-Credit Policy index). Changes in Registration —Students may add classes or withdraw from classes at specified times after their initial registration and through the first week of the quarter. During this period of time there will be no charge for the first change of registration (involving any number of drops or adds). Each subsequent change will require purchase of a Change of Registration form. After the first week classes may be added only with the permission of the instructor. No class may be added after the third week. Each change made after the first week will require purchase of a Change of Registration form. TUITION AND STUDENT FEES Tuition and student fees are established by the Utah State Board of Regents, and are subject to change without notice, if necessary. Twelve credit hours per quarter shall constitute a full load for tuition purposes. Resident or non-resident students enrolled for twelve or more quarter hours will be assessed full tuition. Part-time resident or non-resident students (those enrolled for less than twelve credit hours) shall be assessed tuition on a per credit hour basis proportionately to the tuition paid by full-time students (exceptions: a part-time student taking one or two credit hours shall be assessed at the two-hour tuition rate). To determine the correct fee schedule, please consult the quarterly class schedule at the beginning of each quarter. The Financial Aids section of this catalog has a table which a student may consult to determine approximate costs to attend Weber State College, including tuition and fees. Continuing Education and Off-Campus —Students enrolled in credit classes offered by Continuing Education are assessed tuition on the same credit hour basis as provided in the regular tuition schedule shown in the quarterly class schedule. Non-Credit Courses, Workshops etc. —Charges for non-credit classes, workshops, etc., are established by the college and will be announced with the course offerings. Audit Classes — Charges for auditing a class are at the same rate as regular credit classes and such hours will be counted as part of the student's total credit hour load. Late Registration Fee —A late registration fee will be assessed beginning the first day of general classroom instruction each quarter. 44 Marksmanship Photography Military Science Printmaking Sculpture Skiing Weaving Tuition and Student Fees Registration Change Fee —A student will be allowed to make one change of registration (adds, drops, or both) without charge, provided said change is made prior to the end of the first week of the quarter. A charge will be assessed for the second and each subsequent change during the first week. A charge will be assessed beginning the second week of the quarter for any change to the student's registration. No changes will be permitted after the end of the third week of the quarter. Teaching Fee —Education majors will be assessed an additional fee during the quarter in which they are registered for their off-campus teaching experience. Music Fees —A fee will be charged to each student taking a private instruction class for credit. This fee should be paid at the time of registration and must be paid by the end of the fifth day of general college instruction. A student will receive eight private lessons. Lab Fees —Students enrolled in the following classes must pay a lab fee in addition to regular tuition: Audio Visual Bowling Ceramics Cinema II Food Preparation Classes Graphic Design Jewelry Making Test Fees —Fees are charged for various tests administered on campus in accordance with a schedule to be approved each year. The fees may change from time to time during the year. Inquiries should be made at the Test Center in the lower floor of the Stewart Library Processing Fees —There are several fees charged for processing students records or making transactions to them, they include: Application for Admission Graduation Fee Make-up Examination (each subject) Recording Fee for Special Cases (each transaction) Transcript of Credit A student is entitled to one free transcript. For additional copies there will be a charge. Rentals and Deposits —Rentals and/or deposits are required on certain items and must be paid to the cashier. The following items are necessary to rent or put a deposit on: Chemistry Lab Breakage Deposit* Key Deposit* Gymnasium Locker Lock Deposit* Art Building Locker Key Deposit* 'In order to obtain deposit refund from Cashier, student must return the key or lock to the department and obtain clearance from the department.
