Specific Requirements: Students can receive a double major in Law Enforcement and Chemistry (non-certification) by completing the Criminalistics Emphasis. 4. Chemistry courses required: Chemistry 121 (5), 122 (5), 123 (5), 213 (5), 307 (5), 311 (4), 312 (4), 313 (4), 341 (4), 342 (4) 453 (3), 454 (5). A minor is not required with a Criminalistics Emphasis. Program: Departmental Honors (Corrections and Law Enforcement) I. General Requirements: A. Enroll in the General Honors Program and complete 10 hours of General Honors courses. B. Maintain an overall GPA of 3.3. C. Fulfill the requirements for the departmental major. II. Specific Requirements: A. In fulfilling the major, complete at least 15 hours on an Honors basis. B. In addition, complete 3 hours in Directed Readings, 483, and 2 hours in Seminar, 499. C. A student may take the following courses on an Honors basis: CLEE 235, 236, 239, 302, 304, 312, 406, 408, and 410. (Corrections Honors: 233, 313, and 339.) 292 Corrections and Law Enforcement D. Permission from the department chairperson should be sought before registering in a course for Honors credit. A written agreement should be reached with the appropriate professor regarding the work expected for Honors credit. Program: Law Enforcement Minor I. General Requirements: A. A grade of C or better in minor courses. II. Specific Requirements: A. Minimum of 25 hours of credit in Law Enforcement courses. B. Program: Law Enforcement — Associate of Science Degree I. General Requirements: A. Specific course requirements of the college. The state requirements in American History, Government, and Economics does not need to be completed. General Education requirements. An overall GPA of 2.00 or C is required. 93 total hours are required. Specific Requirements: A. Minimum of 24 credit hours in Law Enforcement courses.
