MARRIOTT-SLATERVILLE CITY COUNCIL REPORT FOR JAN 2006 By Joyce VanTassell Marriott-Slaterville planning commission meets on Tuesday in 2006 Marriott-Slaterville's planning commission met on the third Tuesday of the month, which will be the new meeting time for the commission for 2006. A minor lot subdivision, consisting of one new lot, was approved for the June's Place subdivision (265 S. 1200 W.). Conditional use permits were approved for Russell Beus' nursery business, as well as for Bryce Wade's landscape building. Preliminary approval of IFA's (1069 W. 1200 S.) commercial site plan was also approved. Retiring commissioners Carl Parker, Sherry Morris and Dale Thompsen were recognized for their service to the city. City Council meets, swears in re-elected officials City Recorder Becky Burt administered the oath of office to returning council members Kim Slater and Delbert Hodson and to Mayor Keith Butler. Council President Dennis Ilium and Vice President Rob Smout were returned to their leadership positions by acclamation of the council members. Butler asked the council for confirmation of his appointments of three new planning commissioners, Ed Allred, Don Lassen and Kent Schofield. The council agreed to the new appointments. The council discussed and approved a petition by Mill Creek Meadows for annexation into the Pioneer special service district.
