Show New Ogden Weber Expansion I-15 NOW Sp-15-8(34)342 TRAFFIC ADVISORY- 47 Contact: Dave Asay Office: 801-612-4030 Mobile: 801-712-3030 December 12, 2006 For Immediate Release 31st STREET TO CLOSE DECEMBER 19th I-15 TO CLOSE DECEMBER 20th AND 21st OGDEN - The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) advises motorists of ongoing and upcoming traffic impacts as part of the I-15 NOW project in Weber County. 31st Street in Ogden will close Tuesday night, December 19th from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. while crews prepare to switch 31st Street traffic onto the new north bridge. I-15 at 31st Street in Ogden will close Wednesday and Thursday night, December 20th and 21st from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. while crews demolish the existing 31 Street south bridges that span the freeway and the Weber River. Northbound traffic can exit I-15 at the Roy Exit (#338) or the Riverdale Road Exit (#339) and re-enter I-15 at the 21st Street Interchange. Southbound traffic will exit at 21st Street (Exit 343) and can proceed either east to Wall Avenue then south on Riverdale Road until it rejoins I-15 or west to 1900 West and proceed south to 5600 South in Roy. Extra Caution Urged As activities continue to increase throughout the project, travelers are advised to exercise caution throughout the construction zone and obey the posted speed limit. Fines double for work zone speeding violations! Motorists should also watch for heavy construction vehicles entering and exiting the freeway. Additional I-15 NOW project information is available toll free at 1-888-415-6690 (888-I15-NOW0) or online at www.udot.utah.gov/i15NOW.
