Show our new building and was very impressed with the community. Kim Slater and Mayor Butler also thanked Ken Martin for work well done. President Ilium asked Mr. Slater to tell the mosquito abatement employees that their great work was appreciated. January 28th was a Youth Council Day at the legislature and four young people represented our community and enjoyed their day there. They met several legislators and had lunch with them. Bill Morris was able to obtain a lunch and dinner program from Weber Human Services who receives federal funds to administer a senior citizen meal program. It is estimated our program in Marriott-Slaterville will use $8,000 annually from the federal fund given to the county. The Senior Center features a lunch every Tuesday beginning at 11:30 p.m. The cost for those 60 and older is a $2.00 donation. A dinner is served on the third Wednesday of each month at the same cost. A birthday party for all seniors 60 and older will be held at 2:00 p.m. on the first Friday of each month. Those seniors who have a birthday that month will be honored. A Yoga class for seniors is held each Friday at 11:00 a.m. All seniors are encouraged to come, participate and meet your fellow senior community members. Bits and Pieces Seth Capell is Fremont High School's Sterling Scholar for Trade and Technology for this year. Marci Kilpack is the Silver Line President for Fremont and was featured in the Sports Spot in the Paw Print. The group placed fourth at their last competition.
