Show Volume VIII Issue 12 Marriott-Slaterville City Newsletter December 2006 1570 West 400 North - Phone (801) 627-1919 Christmas Message As we near the close of another year and commence the Season of Christmas we are thankful for the lovely community in which we find ourselves. The spirit of the holidays is alive and well in Marriott-Slaterville. This is a wonderful community because of the efforts of our citizens, volunteers, elected officials, and city employees. We have a wonderful Senior Center that is used by many, both in and outside of the city. We hope to take our wonderful community and improve on it each year. New residents have found this to be a nice place to live, work, and enjoy their families. We want to welcome all. I also personally thank numerous volunteer who have worked to make our city a success this past year. May you all have the very best holiday season. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Dennis Ilium, Council President LOCAL UPDATES Cookbook. The cookbooks are sold out for those who did not pre-order. If you pre-ordered please pick-up your reserved cookbook by December 15th. Winter Reminder. With winter snow storms now arriving, please drive with caution. Also, remember snow removal regulations. The most traveled roads in the city are snow plowed first, and back-roads are plowed last. Property owners are responsible to remove the snow from sidewalks in front of their home and their private driveways. Vehicles parked on the road during or after a snow storm impede snow plowing and may be towed at owner's expense. Please remove garbage cans from road shoulder as soon as possible after collection.
