Application forms may also be obtained in person or by mail from Weber State College Admissions Office, Administration Building, Ogden, Utah. Completed application should be on file in the Admissions Office at least thirty days before registration for the quarter in which the applicant expects to enroll. Every applicant for freshman admission is encouraged to submit his application anytime after the last semester of his Junior year in high school. A $10.00 non-refundable application fee must accompany each application. Applications are incomplete and will not be processed until the fee has been received in the Admissions Office. Please submit your fee in the form of a check or money order, unless you bring it to the Admissions Office in person. No person shall be denied admission to Weber State College on the basis of race, color or national origin. How to Qualify for a Baccalaureate Program or Certificate Program—A prospective student may qualify for admission to Weber State College Baccalaureate Program or Certificate Program by completing the following requirements: 1. BACCALAUREATE PROGRAM By High School Credential—An official transcript must be presented from an approved high school showing the applicant has satisfactorily completed a full high school course and has earned 15 high school units in subjects recognized by the college. High School Subjects Recognized and Units Required—Each applicant for admission by high school credential must have completed at least 9 academic or basic units from the following areas: English, mathematics, science, social sciences, foreign language. Included in the 9 basic units must be three units of high school English. A maximum of two units in music and one unit in physical education and military training combined may be included in the 15. Less than one-half unit in any subject is not accepted. Twelve of the 15 units must have been earned in the second, third, and fourth years of the high school course. Full Matriculation—In order to be fully matriculated as a regular student, an applicant must present three units of high school English. If an applicant plans to major in any specific 38 39 |
