Show SCHOOL OF TECHNOLOGY AND TRADE-TECHNICAL EDUCATION Wendell L. Esplin, Dean Recause of the rapid advancement in science, high speed •production and automation, there is a critical shortage of skilled and technically trained manpower in business and industry. The School seeks to assist young men and women in becoming useful and successful citizens in our technological society. To accomplish this, the School is organized into the following departments: Automotive Engineering Technology, Data Processing, ;Electronic Engineering Technology, Pre-Engineering (two-year)' Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering Technology, and the Institute of Trade-Technical Education. Students completing baccalaureate programs in the School will be granted either a Bachelor of Arts or a Bachelor of Science degree. Students may have departmental majors in the following fields. Automotive Engineering Technology Data Processing Electronic Engineering Technology Industrial Engineering Technology Manufacturing Engineering Technology A two-year Pre-Engineering program is also offered within Hi the School. Data Processing and Electronic Engineering Technology are offered as minors in the School. The Institute of Trade-Technical Education provides an extensive offering in one-year and two-year trade and two-year technician programs. Every efforts is made to meet the manpower training needs of the community and of the state. 289 |
