Show The mosquito abatement employee who served this area died recently, and will be greatly missed. The new employee is not familiar with access to all the areas needing to be sprayed, which may be a problem until he learns more about the community. President Illum reported that the sheriffs deputy has increased enforcement of the weight limit on 1200 West. He asked that any roads which need painting or where signs need to be replaced be reported to him. We offer condolences to Don Lassen, member of the Planning Commission, whose father, Gerald Lassen, died on August 6, 2006, at the age of 71. Bits and Pieces Long time resident Delos Eugene Bingham died on August 4, 2006, at the age of 94. Helen Hulse Alkema, age 93, died August 9, 2006. Sarah Elise Holley, daughter of Shay and Erin Holley, was born on August 28, 2006. Michael Daniel Brown, son of Linda Lee Hal! and H. Michael Brown, was born August 29, 2006. Imogene Hill Leonardi helped plan the Ogden High School 60th reunion held at the Timbermine in August. Pam Tipping was one of 40 women who attended the second annual women's football clinic August 4, at Weber State University. The five-hour class was hosted by coach Ron McBride and his staff. Lindsey Slater and Quenton Jones won their Division of the national Duct Tape contest. Each received $200.00 for schlarships for their efforts. (Hope it paid for the duct tape.) Lila McFarland celebrated her 80th birthday on August 5, 2006, with family and friends. |
