Show Sunday 22 Both Nan & I with colds. No church today. A full day at home. No visitors & few phone calls. Reading (the Bible by phonograph) & poor TV programs. Monday, Jan. 23 Monday A surprise visit from Arch with Margaret this am. A enthusiastic over a new job here. They enjoyed for lunch. In later pm Mr. Knapp & Mrs. Lesnen came with hospital plans & talk re Nurses. Have been a little shaky all day Mr. Knapp & Mrs. Lesnen came at 10 am. A meeting to discuss proposed home nursing program. Very interesting. Mrs. Turner came as R.S. teacher pm. Had time to listen to Bible reading. Began Acts. Henry came in eve. but we had nothing for him to do. Nans cold still bothering her. Wednesday, Jan. 25 Got told that Harmon Peery died this am. A great figure in Ogden Mr Knapp & Mrs. Lasnen came at 10 & we continued exploring visiting nurse question thru reading material assembled by Mr. Knapp. Nan gave me lunch & then went out for p.m. Mr. & Mrs. Oberhanley came for my lesson. We scanned a magazine & continued with Washington. I find it interesting & stimulating Thursday, Jan. 26 Meeting with Mr. Knapp & Mrs. Lesnen at 10 to 11. Still reading about home nursing. D of U.P. at 130 with Norma Patterson Elizabeth & Don came 6 pm. We had a visit re Es affairs & I gave her some old Co. records Drama Club 730 with Leah 1030 Greenwell. A good meeting with Mr. Knapp & Mrs. Lesnen 10 to 11 am. Margaret came from Salt Lake & visited until time for Acacia. Norma Patterson took us to Myrenes for Acacia. An attendance of 22. A good luncheon & talk by Ex Mayor Wright Nan took Margaret & me to look at a house Elizabeth was considering. Nan & I called at Mortuary to condole with Dean Perry. My sweet Robbie glad to see us a checker game before going to bed. Saturday, Jan. 28 Weather still fine & sunny causing concern by farmers. Nan to Dr Olsons for a shot. Her cold still persists but she is cooking a turkey dinner (my hospital turkey) |
