Show hunt breakfast given in Emigration Canyon with Margaret Dorothy Susan Boyd & Zola Peggy Arch & 4 children. Monday, May 15 Visited later at Peggys new house. Nan with her folks. Home at 8 pm. Monday 15 Furnace men came am to put in new Lenex furnace & air conditioner. A noisy job with heat cut off. We had fire in the fire place & electric heaters. Nan & I down town a little shopping & took a dress to be shortened to Mrs. Watkins Tuesday 16 Nan working all day. Confusion & noise not very pleasant Mr Parker put up north window awning more noise. Nan worked with Burt Fisher getting numbers & electric door opener fixed on new car A short ride before supper. The home rather cool, ac heat remodeling going on. Wednesday, May 17 Nan worked all day putting two new outlets in my bedroom and me in study and making a big mess & much confusion I to LL Club at Blanche Richs dressed in the dress I wore as matron of honor at wedding. A good luncheon & fun with all in costume. Marion Pugmire provided transportation for me Nans pm out. I home at 4 pm Nan at 9 Men still trailing thru the house, putting finishing touches on work, which they finished in pm. Nan preparing for her foursome this evening. Out in the car for groceries, etc. I got two new books & began The March of Muscovy Not too interesting to begin with Nans foursome in the eve had an enjoyable time Friday 19 A letter from Leota today. Have bed room re arranged very easily. At 2 pm with Laurie to meet with Mr Loose lawyer. Glassman to make final arrangements for Annie Taylor Dee Foundation Mr. Knapp also present. A ride with Nan in later pm Saturday At home until eve. when Nan & I to Fish House for supper. Betty & family visited Nan pm. Sunday Sunday School at 10. Got a nice basket of fruit at American & took to Norma Patterson who is not well. |
