Show Dinner at home. Laurie visited Mr Hanson came & we made plans for garden work made plans for garden work. Nan out pm. Monday, May 22 Met Marie at office To Safety for stock, etc. Turned over to Bank 40 Sharer of Ut Con as beginning of ATD foundation. Mrs Hanson & men doing much improving work in garden. Saw Anita on TV in a kids program. Marie came to make checks, etc. Her little boy Tommy with her. Took papers (mis sent letter) to Poplins & an insurance application to Hosp. Checkers paper later Tuesday May 23. Nan & I picked up Edith at noon & went to Salt Lake. Lunch at Temple Cafeteria. To Am. Express at 2. A long conference with Mr. Childs arranging for a trip to Hawaii. Temperature 90 degrees. Home at 7 pm tired & Hot. Wednesday, May 24 A workman came to put finishing touches on air system. After he left (Nans pm out) I got so cold I called for help to cut it off. Mary Frances (at Janets on business) came & showed me & stayed for a nice visit. Nan brings in lively tulips & other flowers from our garden. Spent much time looking over Hawaii materials. Reading & TV until Nan came home at 9 Thursday, May 25 to D of UP meetings at Lucille Scowcrofts. A nice time in a lovely home. In eve to Drama Club at Rosina Nichols. Amund meeting with reports & election of new member & rejection of another A strenuous time & disappointing. Home with Leah Greenwell. Friday, May 26 To Salt Lake with Blanche Johnston 11 am. Norma, Phyllis, Lucile Drix in with us. Blanche stopped for an errand & Romneys & we rode around the beautiful streets until time for Acacia at Mrs. Cowleys lovely home. Bounteous luncheon & reading of short stories by Phyllis. A hot day Home at 430. In later eve. Nan & I had supper at Keeleys & shopped at Samuels. Brot home some dresses. Saturday 27 Received from Rosabelle a lot of clippings from English papers, giving lurid accounts of doings in our Southern States. Nan & I down town pm. Got new dresses at Samuels. Nan & I checkers Sunday 28 Sunday School at 10. Dinner at home. Listened to ball game. |
