Show Monday 16 Cont. some list. Henry came & did a little chores pm. Marie came eve & we got checks made & balance. A 3 hour anti Communist rally from San Francisco eve. Very stirring. Still fine Autumn Tuesday 17 weather. In am Nan & I to Modlings & decided on pewter Xmas gift for nieces & nephews, also some childrens toys. After lunch at home to Mrs. Watkins to get dresses fitted. Reading & TV in eve. Wednesday 18 Started to make plans for entertaining Nans card club tomorrow. I to L.L. Club at Cleones (pm. A nice gathering of good friends, luncheon & a book review by Marion Pugmire. Nan home after came errands Thursday 19 Nans party today. I helped some with her arrangements. The (3) ladies guests had a good time. Mr. Knapp came with plans for tomorrows lunch with Bishop Isaacson. Henry visited. Tired in eve. Friday 20. Giving some thought to a short talk to be given this pm. Mr. Knapp called for me at noon We went to luncheon & farewell to Bishop Isaacson given by Hospital officers & Medical staff. A very agreeable occasion. Laurie presided & reports mad by various chairmen. My report as Treasurer was received with applause. Home at 2. Rested until eve. when Nan & I went to Fish House for dinner. Saturday 21 Wrote a letter to Leota and one to Bishop Isaacson. Nans Betty & 2 children visited her. I read on machine some more Columbus rather long account of Cs travels among Islands in Carribean. Took a ride in eve. Snow storm in eve. Sunday 22 Conference at tabernacle at 12 M Home at 2 for prepared dinner. Nan out at 4. Elizabeth & Don visited. Elizabeth to be released as Relief Society president this eve. I finished the Columbus book. Nan home early. |
