Show Wednesday 13 Cont. room (bathroom) Nan did not get away for her pm out until 4 oclock. In pm Laurie called. I talked with Edith & Don & Elizabeth came in eve. Nan home early. Thursday 14 Linoleum man came to lay floor. Mr. Schow came to do some fixing. Painter cooperated & Nan & I down town Got bath room curtains at Bon Marche & a chck (on stamps) at Gild Stand. I went to Dr Olsen this am. at hospital he is pleased with my condition. Also had a nice talk with Mr. Knapp. Friday 15 Very little work going on today each man waiting for another to finish. Nan did a lot of kitchen tidying. I arranged for help on nex Tuesday to get really straightened out. The new manager of Blond Centre came to check up on reading books & offer further help. Saturday 16. Work on bath room completed except El. light & placing plumbing. Nan did a good job of clearing up & finished one.Saturday 16 Cont. book (Readers Digest) & began one about Boss Tweed. Nan & I down town later pm. Got Sunday supplies. I with Margaret Howards to Maddox for dinner Dorothy & Ralph & H leaves for Standford on Wednesday. Home at 1030. Sunday 17. Result of too much food yesterday awoke with dizziness. Stayed in bed & took measures Visitors Mary Lundgreen, daughter Joyce & child. Later Peggy & Arch stayed with me while Nan went out to a reception. Laurie came & we all had a very nice visit. Nan home at 5 430 he made a fire in living room furnace. We spent a cosy eve. with radio & papers. Monday 18 A big rain storm during night. Sun came out by 9 am. Terrible news of death of Dag Hammerschold (United Nations Secretary( in plane crash. More rain & gloom all day. Tues 19 Plumbers finishing touches on bathroom. No outing today only Nan went for groceries |
