Show Nan out in later pm. She brot 3 girl friends to look around. I finished the Lincoln book in eve. Many flowers in the garden lovely! Nan went down town to get car battery fixed took most of am. Late lunch. Louise & 2 children came to visit Nan. Mr. Glassman (lawyer) came & I executed a codicil & went over my will. We started preparations for tomorrows supper. Gary got things out & fixed terrace. Marie came. We cleared up bills & strengthened account supper at 9 pm. A little reading before going to bed. A nice visit from Alice C Tuesday, June 13 Making leisurely arrangements for supper. Mrs. Parker making all arrangements at her home. The terrace in good shade & looked lovely. Company Edith, Wade, Melva Janet & little Glen (he said the blessing). Harold & Karen Dee Ann & four children. Mrs. Mary Lundbury, Fred & Barbara, Nan & I 18. A nice visit after. Edith & family leave for Calif. on Saturday. All (Also George Barker enjoyed the eve with us) Wednesday, June 14 Peggy phoned for a short visit this am. They are finely well settled. Got house tidied & things put away. Never would know we had had a party. Nans pm out. I did reading & planning. Various phone arrangements. Sent salad from party to Janet. Peggy called from Salt Lake to visit . Nan home early & early to bed tired. Phoned Mr. Childs & arranged for steamer to Hawaii 1110.80 Thursday, June 15 Mr. Deamer worked on car door opener. I am quite stiff in knees. Did reading & planning. Nice shade on terrace later pm. Garys father & mother & (4 relatives visited eve. Blanche Johnston & daughter Bee called. Bee home for a visit after 7 years a lovely girl. Reading & checkers in eve. Friday 16. A hot day a good time to stay in the house with our cooler. A great comfort. Reading & making arrangements for our trip. Jodee & Janie came in eve to stay a while. They played in the lower floor while Nan & I sat out on the terrace. Ada picked them up about 9 PM Saturday June 17 A quiet day but very hot. Alice has word from Rosabelle. Hetz with them. They leave London today for Portugal Nans brother & wife and sister & husband came pm. We took them to Maddox for a nice dinner. Visited after until 8 pm. Sunday & Sunday school 10 am. Home for a light dinner. Rested & listened to TV & reading book. Laurie & Janet visited pm. Elizabeth called just home from trip. In eve Nans family (Bettys) took us a ride. Pleasant evening. |
