Show Tues. 22 Cont. and started a mystery Dead of Winter. Nans nieces left after visiting all family. Nan & I home eve. Wednesday 25 Made some arrangements for Thursday eve. Gary fixed up the garden which is very nice now. He brot up table & chairs for terrace. Our only caller Mrs. Turner R.S. teacher. Nan & I out to get dinner supplies. To P.O. to send back radio book. Got some small plates at Attees. Talked with Bryan about taking Garys place. Heavy rain at nights. Thursday 24. Preparation for the dinner took up most of the day. Decided to eat out on terrace which made a pretty setting. Mrs. Holley came at 4. Nan went out & gathered up ice cream cake, chicken, etc. Guests came at 6 pm. A good dinner & a nice visit The children ranted thru the house while the oldsters sat on the terrace to see the moon rise. Company left at 10. Nan & I to bed tired. Friday 25. Some rain this am. We feel like the morning after Mr. Schow came & went over Friday 25 Cont Nans bathroom with the idea of remodeling. Only preliminary plans A day around home until late pm. when Nan & I went out to do some errands. Sat 26 I watched a TV ball game. Nans Betty came with Patty and little Melva to visit. It has turned out to be a fine sunny day. I was busy with ball games, etc. all day. Our down stairs sitting room a pleasant place. In later pm. Nan & I out for a ride. Called at Scotts. Visited with him until his family came home from fishing. They gave us six fine trout. Sunday 27 Sunday School at 10. Fast Meeting after Nan cooked trout & I had a most enjoyable dinner. Nan out pm. She & Mary L. came at 9 pm. I went with Nan to take Mary home. A glorious fall season out these nights. |
