Show Monday Aug 7. Beautiful flowers roses & plumas from our Garden. Some arranging for lunch on Thursday. Nan took me down town at noon. Met Marie. We went to the safety & to Mr. Lusto arrange my account. Marie brot me home. Reading on machine & resting pm. I continue to be able to walk without cane & feeling fine. Nan & I down town at 430. Looked at spectacle rims at Dr. Nielsons no decision. To Mansion Home & arranged for Thursday. Marie & friend brot a baby bed which Gary put up in downstairs bed room. Sat out on terrace a while in pleasant eve. Tuesday 8 I spent a quiet day at home, reading & making arrangements for Thursday Nan took her pm out. Home at 10. Wednesday Aug 9 Bright am & still warm. We found many things to do preparing for company. Henry came & put up beds etc. We had 5 beds. Got a cot from Scott & a baby bed from Marel. Nan went to Mr. Holmes for a birthday cake. Frank, Fern & 5 children arrived at 5 pm. Wednesday 9. Cont. A happy reunion We were all ready for them so we had time to visit after a little supper. Then, all bedded down by midnight. Thursday. The house like a beehive with 5 children active and happy. Breakfast & visiting Barbarra. Guy & 3 children came at 10 & visited until 1 pm. We had pictures taken of 6 adults & 8 children. Barbarra left at 1. The rest of us to Mansion House at 2 A birthday dinner for Frank. Fern & I down to Wolfers after & I bought her a dress. Janet, Edith & Elizabeth came to see Fern & Henry visited Miss Rassmussen called in am. A big bustle to get company away at 630 Nan & I tired & to bed in good time.
