Show Friday 11 Cont. I have been without my companion 15 years a sad miss. Feeling like the morning after our company gone. Nan & I down town to do a series of errands. I got new spectacles frames at Rushmers & a stand lamp at Sears (gave one I was using to Edith) A hot day. Nan & I took flowers to Dicks grave & put a rose on Papas grave & Mammas. Sweet memories. Rested in pm. In eve Mrs. Jimie Brown & Mrs. Julia Hill came to visit Nan. Lovely sitting out on terrace. Saturday 12 A sprinkling of rain in night. Cooler this am. Nan & I to Virginia Brown (hair dresser) & got nicely fixed up a little lunch at Blue Onion went to see Elizabeths new home from At 4 pm Nans brother Ress & wife Leone came & took us to Maddox for diner. Home at 10 spent time on terrace visiting the pleasant eve. Sunday Aug. 13 To Sunday School 10 am. Nice dinner at home. At 230 with Mr. Tribe to see the new house Elizabeth is buying. Elizabeth, Don & Laurie there. It is very nice & Elizabeth & Don are happy. Mr Tribe brot me home. I talked with him about Ediths house. Nan out in pm. I with TV & radio. Nan home at 10. I heard lovely music on radio which took me back to earlier years. Monday 14 Nan & I took a lunch which I gave her out to Edith. Brot her back to a party at Lindquists Nan & I drove around I looking at houses. Went to Sears & bought a set for bathroom. Edith visited in later pm & Ada called & took Edith home. Nan out at a party eve. I reading a little with big glasses. Tuesday 15. Mr. Knapp came & went over plans for conversion of Der Hospital. Mrs. Clare Stuart (Garys mother) visited Nan & I to funeral of Darell Greenwell. Home at 330 Nan finished her ironing after In eve we drove around looking for building lot for Edith. 16 Wednesday 15 Wrote to Rosbelle and Leota in am. Thru heavy glasses managed to read from US News Nan busy cleaning earning her trip to Hawaii Rode out to Jim Barkers & to Maude Marians |
