Show Sunday 30 Cont. our hotel. Sat in garden a while. Watched dancing in our garden until bed time. Monday 31. Got up at 6. Downstairs for 7 oclock trip to airport. John did not come we had a different taxi. At airport our troublesome began. Our flight United Air No 82 had been canceled out of San Francisco. We were transferred to Pan American to stand by until we could get a seat. Landed in seats 7 in 8 in first class. The finest plane ever. D began soon after we left at 310 San Francisco time. 1 Sherry offered 2 Oudoves 3 Table set on white cloth 4 Appetisers (big variety) 5 Green salad Meanwhile we drank some ginger ale. 5 Roast beef and fricassee chicken served from cart by stewart. Red or white wine served in large goblets on table. Relishes (olives & celery) 6 Fruit choice from cart) 7 Cognac meanwhile 8 Pie or cheese cake & pie. Legues, cheese & cigarettes. Monday 31 Cont. And so we ate our way to San Francisco Ar 545 Very cold. By Hilton bus to Hilton line very novel place but well appointed. Good room with 2 beds racks & TV. I was chilled through & took Hot chocolate in the dining room. (Coffee & milk maker on wall in room) Got settled down at 12 an. Tuesday Aug 1. After a good night breakfast (my usual at coffee shop. Breakfast at the room (very nice) Looked around hotel & in our room reading until 3 pm when we boarded a nice plane for Salt Lake. A mere hop of 1 and one half hours and we were there. Sautt & 3 children met us & brot us to Ogden. We all had dinner at Park and Snack before coming on to our dear little hut among the bushes Everything lovely in the house & we were glad to get home. Rosabelle Joe & Hetzie arrived in S.L. 730 this eve. I talked briefly with Rosabelle after they got home. Alice & Charles are in Europe now. We left off unpacking and went to bed |
