Show Tuesday 19 More rain & clouds Plumber finished in bath. Mary & Martha came at 9 & Bry at 10. Nan evaperating & I directing get a satisfactory days work done. Bathroom put in shape, study a good cleaning windows cleaned inside & out, all carpets gone over with vacuum. Bry, Nan & I cleared out trash, etc from garage & Henry took it away in his trailer. Nan & I went to Ediths at 5 to see a woman (Nelly) who may come to live with her. Resting at home eve. Lots of world news re United Nations. Wednesday 20 Both Nan & I went aboard today. Nan to Salt Lake to the State Fair. I at 12 noon with Janet to Sarah Amis Matthie wedding. In pm to hospital meeting of Board. An interesting session. Talked with Edith after I came home. She grieving sorely over Bettys death & Elizabeths moving to a new home. Mr. Deamer came & extended wire for TV in study. The room looks very nice also the bathroom. Nan home just after 12 Midnight Thursday 21 Mr. Schow came & did a lot of little finishing jobs at the end of our project. His bill 850.00 In pm I went with Mr. Tribe, Edith & Rosabelle to look at homes. One good proposed near Benedict Hospital. Nan talked with several & got a prospect for housekeeper for Edith. Nan & I had dinner (fairly good at Steak House Layton. Cold weather but rain has cleared off. Friday 22 Bright sunshine this am. Curtain man came & took curtains back to be changed. Nan & I called for for Diana Thatcher & took her to Acacia club at Threshold 2 PM Dor Catmull of U of U gave the book of Job admirably. Ten after & visits with many good friends At home eve. & early to bed Saturday 23 Marie came at 10 & we got books nicely fixed up. Elizabeth standing to move to her new home. Nan & I down town pm. Got 2 flower holders for sitting room (green stamps) |
