Show Wed 11 Cont well pleased with my condition. Tests show nothing drasticly wrong. All I need is more ascid which he prescribed. Nan came at 130 sign papers etc. Left hosp. 3 PM to come home. A nice change. Edith visited Nan took her home at 5. Oatmeal. Some checkers then to bed in good time Thursday 12 Got up reluctantly at 930 & went out for breakfast after which I was able to face the day. Somewhat shaken but still feeling good. A most beautiful day. Nan picked lovely flowers from our garden. Spent a quiet pm & eve. with Nan. Friday 13. Mr. Knapp came for a long conference am. Interesting plans for future developments Henry came to unburden his troubles. Nans brother. Ross & wife came to visit. Pleasant people a bite of lunch grabbed meanwhile. Nan & I got 2 5 lb boxes of candy & took to 3rd floor at hospital in appreciation Friday 13 Cont We are having beautiful Indian Summer. I very tired & sleepy eve. to bed late Saturday 14 Most beautiful weather sunny & warm. Laurie called in on way to office for nice visit. I much stronger & more steady today. Nan & I took fine ride in Autumn sunlight. To Maddox for a steak dinner. Brot home enough for tomorrow Nan out to her card club at 8. I finish reading the account of the retreat from Dimkirk. Sunday 15. Short session of Sunday School. A fine ride to view Autumn foliage. Dinner at home at 1 pm. Nan took me to Elizabeths where I visited until 6 pm when she brot me home. Interesting radio & reading book. Nan home at 9. We played checkers & listened to TV. Monday 16 Feeling better today. A lovely sunny day. Made a little start on a book about Columbus. Nan & I worked on Christmas |
