After completing school, he enlisted in the United States Air Force where he served his country loyally for twenty years before retiring. During this period of time he met and was united in marriage with Joan Lee and to this union three children were born. Lee was a loving man whose family came first. The simple pleasures of life brought him a lot of joy. He was caring and always had words of comfort and cheer. Like most men, he was a sports fan who spent many hours in front of the tube watching football. He was a good bowler and loved to play pinocle. Lee Roy loved children and related to them well. The apples of his eyes were his children and his grandchildren. He was a good provider, a devoted husband, a supportive father, a doting grandfather, a faithful brother and a dedicated friend. ; o He loved the Lord and served him in his own way. Even when times were rough for him and life was not always great, he had a way of bringing out the best and that’s how we made it through. He shall be always loved and greatly missed.
