God lent him such a little while, But could not let him stay And so a shining angel came And beckoned him away. So many aching heart is left, yes wet with many a tear. I wonder if the Angels know; How much we loved him here. Oh yes, they must have known in Heaven. Because they loved him there; Before he came to be with us, So bright, so sweet, and fair. And when he left that other home, We must have brought away; So much sunshine and love, They could not let him stay.
