Show ‘Miss Ivy’s house was always a ha- — ven for young people. She was famous — for her sweet potato pie and fried © chicken. You could always find some- | | thing good cookin in her kitchen. She often gave doses of good advice taken | awards dedica- © with a tablespoon of love. She had a shoulder to cry on and good listener as well. She has received numerous and citations for her strength, the inspiration tion and always | was a4 — she gave to others. She was a beautician practicing in Ogden and in Buckner, Arkansas. She was honored by the Serrelles Charity Club in 1980 as the Senior Citizen of the Year in appreciation of her many years of devoted church and community activities. In June, 1992, she was awarded the Gospel Heritage — Award. The governor's Office of Black Affairs presented this award during the Juneteenth Heritage Festival in recogto nition of her lifelong commitment keeping gospel music alive in the com-— aes munity. ‘Serving the Lord will pay off after awhile’ is a gospel favorite which she sang through the years singing to God's glory. As we say goodnight to our beautiful songbird of Ogden, we say also thank you for your gifts and your love. We do believe your many dedicated years of serving the Lord has paid off in big dividends at last.’ Surviving two daughters-in-law, Delera K.
