Show Waof rPi d les ctian This is the day the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it for our sweet sister, Cecelia "Chee Chee" Smith has shaken the dust from her feet, taken wings and made conversation with the angles on her way to Glory! Cecelia was born December 20, 1947 in Ogden, Utah to the union of Cecil "Poppa Smith" and Ivy Smith. She was the fourth child born of six children. She received her formal education in Ogden, Utah graduating from Ogden High School, and later obtaining an Associates of Arts Degree in Education from Donnelly College in Kansas City, Kansas. Cecelia became a member of the New Zion Baptist Church in Ogden, was baptized. She was brought up in Kansas City where where she accepted Christ at an early age and sang in the choir, taught Sunday School and a Christan environment. Later, moving to she lived for the last twenty years. She attended Praise Chapel Christian Fellowship Church, as well as Love Fellowship Non-Denominational Church. Cecelia was preceded in death by her Father; Cecil Smith, Sr. Mother; Ivy Smith, and twin brother Cecil Jr. She leaves to cherish her memory: Two sons; Gregory E. Smith and Cameron A. Smith of the home, three sisters: Mrs. Hazel McEwen of O'Fallon, Illinois (Donald), Mrs. Bobbie Davis Harvey of Kansas City (Reverend Lewis), Zenobia Smith of Kansas City, one brother Mr. Shelly Smith of Salt of Lake City, Utah. (Eyvaughn), and host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friend. Nephews; Ronald Keith, Jonathan, Michael, Courtney, Nieces; Camille Daphne, Nicole, Kisha. |
