Show Delores E. Brown - OGDEN — Delores Ellen Brown, 69, | died Sunday, June 6,. 1993 at McKay-Dee Hospital. She was born May 31, 1924 in Co- | lumbus, Ohio. She was one oa Aa : children from the union of Luther and Laura Mathews Willis. Delores cag Brown moved to g& Ogden, Utah@ where she re- & sided and married James H. Brown on Feb. 14, 1945, who preceded her in death on 25, 1970. Delores Aug. oe was es an asset to her Sonu her early life was spent committed to Military Service. Later she gained other em- — ployment with the Community Action Program in Ogden. Following that she was employed at the Internal Revenue Service, later returning to Hill Air Force Base in Layton. While working, Delores expanded her horizons by completing | a Bachelors Degree in sociology from Weber State University in 1981. Along with work, Delores extended © to. her community as well. She had been a member for over 40 years at the Embry Chapel A.M.E. Church, a devoted member to the Women’s Auxiliary of the American Legion and the Elks Lodge of Salt Lake “City Mrs. Brown leaves behind seven children, four sons, Paris W. Brown and wife Beverly A. Brown of Salt Lake City; James H. Brown and wife Ann of San Antonio, Texas; Jeffery D. Brown of Denver, Colo.; Dary! B. Brown of Ogden; three daughters, Mrs. Randy (Gail) Flemings of Salt Lake City; Mrs. Clarence (Piper) Brown of Denver, Colo.; Brigette M. Brown of Ogden; 15 grandchildren and two great-granddaugNnters. _. Also surviving are three brothers, Bernard Willis and Rosco Willis both of San Diego, Calif.; Edward Willis of Chicago, Ill.; and a host of nieces and nephews. You have touched your sincere thoughts and You lived for those you loved and you will never be forgotten. Funeral services will be held Satur- day at 1 p.m. at the Embry Chapel A.M.E. Church, 264 - 30th St., with the Rev. Paul Harris officiating. Friends may call at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Bivd., Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday at the Church from Noon to 12:45 p.m. Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park. | |
