He was born April 15, 1911 in Pick- ens County, Alabama, a son of Archie. _ Hood Sr. and Sarah Wilder. He married Jennie Vaughns, May 10, 1930 in Portland, Arkansas. He had lived in Alabama, Arkansas — and moved to Ogden in 1944. He - attended school in Arkansas. He was a member of the Jehovah Witness, Ogden North Congregation — where he served as ministerial servant. | He was retired from the Union Pacif- — Macy. L.
