HARRIS» Louis George Harris, 43, of Ogden, died Sunday October 13, 1991, at his home following an extended illness. He was born April 19, 1948, in Ogden, a son of George and Mae Quilla Sanders Harris. During his early childhood he was reared by his aunt Martha H. Graham in Ogden until adulthood. He served 15 years in the U. S. Army. He was a member of the New Zion Baptist Church. ) Louis was employed by the Private Industry Council as a house parent for five handicapped adults. He loved working with people. _ He is survived by his parents and one son, Louis George Harris Jr. of Los Angeles, California; grandfather, James E. Works, Detroit, Michigan. Also surviving are four brothers and one sister, Leonard C. ~ Harris, Ogden; Allen Walton, Philadelphia; Ray Harris, Chicago; Ernie Mitchell, Salt Lake City; Roxie E. Edwards, San Diego, California; several aunts and uncles, Juanita H. Taylor, San Dimas, California; Martha H. Graham, Ogden; Ethel Johnson, Ogden; Dorothy McDonald, Sacramento; Edith Beatty, Rancho Cordova, California; J. W. Sanders, Ogden; Tommy Harris, Lidell, Louisana, and a host of other relatives and friends including Dr. Donald R. Carpenter of Ogden. | | |
