Show OBITUARYOF FANTLEY FRED JONES, SR. Fantley Fred Jones, Sr. was born in Valley Mills, Texas on June 1, 1904 He wasa and passed away May 5, 1995 in Ogden, Utah at his home. son of Isaac and Lizzie Bentley J ones and attended schools 1 in District 68 and 69 in Oklahoma. In 1965 he married Willye Woodrick in Malad, Idaho. ‘They were later divorced. He was a member of Embry Chapel AME Church saa he served asa. Steward, Trustee with Layman and other areas where he served well and willingly. -Fantley was employed by the Union Pacific Railroad as chef cook and retired in 1970 after more than 40 years. He also gave his cooking talents to other organizations and individuals as community service. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed outdoors with family and friends. He was a longtime member of the NAACP and Steward for the | UPRR local Cook's Union. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, one brother and two sons. Surviving are his children: Linda Joy Woodrick, Jamie Leon Woodrick, Tammy Lynette Jones, Fantley Fred Jones, Jr. and Stephanie Lavon Jones all of Ogden, nine grandchildren, two great grandchildren. Also surviving are six sisters: Ada Liggins, Los Angeles, Ca. Esther McCormick, Chandler, Ok.; Ora Dyer, Los Angeles, Ca.; Fannie May Caldwell, Chandler, Ok.; Ida Johnson, Los Angeles, Ca. and Lois Talley, Davenport, Ok.; and large numbers of nieces and nephews and a host of friends. ) - Pallbearers _ Darryle McDaniel Dennis Carpenter Glenn Hill Arthur L.
