FRIDAY March 16, 1951 Our dear daughter Oertel was granted a divorce from G. Oscar Russel in ohio to day. We are hung at Oxford Ohio. We expect her and her son Robert will return to Utah as soon as school is out. Oertel called us on phone tonite to tell us the divorce was granted as requested by her I went down town on business to do Wrote to Oertel & Dr Jr. SATURDAY March 17, 1951 Nice day. I attended a Sanity hearing at court to day. Cleone came up this am BYU looketball came played Dayton town at Madison Square Garden in N. Y. Very exciting score 62 BYU Dayton 43. This was great game. SUNDAY March 18, 1951 I attended Priesthood and High Priests class and then went to Dr Jrs office and met a Committee of Rich family to discuss Relics for the DUP. building in Salt Lake June & Avon and their son Charles came up from Salt Lake and went back in afternoon. Cleone & Baby Yates and Cleone Jr called in afternoon Retire early tired. Sent telegram to Dr Jr at New Orleans. MONDAY March 19, 1951 Beautiful day Cleone came up this evening Wrote some letters & have read most of day Nothing special I drove Myra down to DUPs meeting. She is feeling better Finished reading Kon Tili good book describes trip on raft from Peru South America to Polynesia Tihiti by six men.
