Show Doctor Aid Plan Voted WASHINGTON, Feb. 8 (AP) A bill to authorize a 51,000,000 annual Federal aid program to train doctors, nurses and others in the healing arts was approved yesterday by the Senate Public Welfare Committee. The bill, which now goes to the Senate, will provide for a 10,000,000 annual program of grants for new facilities at colleges and hospitals, plus a 41,000,000 yearly system of scholarships and aid to medical schools. The measure carries no funds, which would have to be voted later in separate legislation. Destroyer Division 31 |
