Cornelia Stablers Acting Found Realistic Many members of the Weber college lecture series audience believe that Cornelia Stablers characterization last night of an aged actress preparing to meet, perhaps for the last time, a group of friends and relatives she had invited to call upon her, was superb acting of a quality not often enjoyed. Much admired, also, were her character sketches in which she presented a teenager of grandmas time who relates to her mother her experiences at a party from which she has just returned home. and another teen ager of 1951 who reacts in a similar way but expresses herself in a far different manner. In other sketches, Miss Stabler presented herself as a young wife and mother serving as the mistress of ceremonies at an exhibition of home movies, as a farm wife whose dinner table conversation is thwarted by the familys insistence upon hearing the radio baseball score report, and as an elderly but enthusiastic garden club lecturer who is quite gaga over gourds. Miss Stabler speaks the part of only one person in her sketches, asking the audience to imagine the stage people with the other characters. So fine is her art the audience finds this is easy to do. The actress was introduced by Mrs. Pearl Allred.
