During that time she documented her personal life and the medical practice of Edward, the community of Ogden and national events such as the outbreaks of WWI and WWII. The diaries also include newspaper and magazine clippings, memorabilia and pins. |

Show THURSDAY November 15, 1951 We attended moving picture show and lecture on Italy at Ogden High School Weber College Lecture Course this evening. Good Mrs Prode has been here sewing all day. FRIDAY November 16, 1951 Matt Cozzens and his wife Bell and his Brother Joe and Matts son Solon called on way from California to their home in Wyo this am Good people Myras brothers Colder today. Mrs Prode here sewing. D.U.P. reception at their hall. Myra attended Nothing special SATURDAY November 17, 1951 Colder today. Oertel went to Salt Lake to take car for Robert She came home on late train Nothing special. I wrote to JW Brewer Jr who is on mission to Great Britain near London. Also sent him a book for xmas. Have read most of day SUNDAY November 18, 1951 Beautiful day. We went to Church (Conference) this a.m. but did not go in the evening so tired. We had dinner at Jr & Blanches nice Dr Jr came home with us and helped with screen door and assembled Clock that Thair sent us from Europe Dear Son. I retire early tired. Mother slept this afternoon Jesse Rich & Aunt Lettie Rich called on way to Salt Lake and to see about Mothers history |
