And Many of Em The birth anniversary of President David O. McKay today is notable for two principal reasons. It is his first birthday since he became the prophet, seer and revelator of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints five months ago, and he is recovering satisfactorily from an illness which caused concert to countless friends. Though still confined at home, he is growing stronger. President McKay was born in rural Huntsville, Weber County, Sept. 8, 1873. A teacher, scholar and civic worker, in addition to his religious work, he had devoted most of his life in service of his church, serving in the first presidency since 1934. Irrespective of religious faith, residents of the intermountain west and other sections, who know him as a kindly man of good will, extend sincere congratulations and best wishes to President McKay on this, his 78th birthday. May this man, whose influence for good far transcends the millionodd membership of the church he heads, have many more happy birthdays.
