This collection contains 74 diaries of Dr. Edward Rich and his wife Almira. They begin in 1892 and run through 1965. The bulk of this collection centers on Almira's diaries that run from 1897-1947. During that time she documented her personal life and the medical practice of Edward, the community of Ogden and national events such as the outbreaks of WWI and WWII. The diaries also include newspaper and magazine clippings, memorabilia and pins. |

Cloudy I went down town Rich Brewer and I went ward teaching this evening I wrote biography of father for Sons of Pioneers paper Nothing special Cool wet May so far THURSDAY May 17, 1951 Rained some I went down town Read and wrote few letters Nothing special Dr Jr called this evening. Retire early FRIDAY May 18, 1951 Nothing special. Have worked a little around yard. Ruth Rich came up from School in Salt Lake this evening for weekend. I wrote to Thair & Sharon & Marion & Ben L Rich Oertel called us on phone this evening |
