During that time she documented her personal life and the medical practice of Edward, the community of Ogden and national events such as the outbreaks of WWI and WWII. The diaries also include newspaper and magazine clippings, memorabilia and pins. |

Show State Groups to Felicitate New President of BYUPROVO Special Utah colleges and universities will play a prominent part in the inauguration Oct. 8 of Dr. Ernest L. Wilkinson as president of Brigham Young University.Felicitations of other universities and representative BYU groups will be presented at a luncheon at 1230 p. m. on that day. Preparations are being made to seat more than 1000 persons at the huge affair, which will be held in the BYU social hall.Master of ceremonies will be J. Reuben Clark Jr., second counselor in the first presidency of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints.Congratulations will be extended by Joseph Fielding Smith, president of the council of twelve apostles of the L D S church, representing the BYU board of trustees; Dr. A. Ray Olpin, University of Utah president; Dr. Louis B. Madsen, Utah State Agricultural College; Dr. H. Aldous Dixon, Weber College, representing the junior colleges of the state; Dean Jesse Scott Boughton, Westminster College;Dr. Christen Jensen, representing the BYU faculty; Keith Orme, BYU student body president, and Roy Broadbent, representing BYU alumni.Dr. Wilkinson will respond.The luncheon will follow the inaugural ceremonies which will be conducted in the new million dollar fieldhouse. |
