During that time she documented her personal life and the medical practice of Edward, the community of Ogden and national events such as the outbreaks of WWI and WWII. The diaries also include newspaper and magazine clippings, memorabilia and pins. |

Show THURSDAY September 20, 1951 Cooler today. Nothing special. Dr Jr called this evening. I have been home all day and have read most of time Wrote to Dr E.S. Budge Hollywood Cal. FRIDAY September 21, 1951 Much cooler. Nothing special. Have read most of day. Dr Jr called Recd letter from Clair Eccles Show from Dayton Ohio. Her husband Reed Shaw is in the Army as Auto Mechanic I wrote to Dr EG Budge Have been home all day. Cool this evening and we may get frost tonite First day of autumn SATURDAY September 22, 1951 Nice day. I have been home all day. Mother has been putting up peaches I have read and have written a couple of letters Lettie Rich wife of Geo Q. called to see us A splendid woman Myra is tired tonite and has gone to bed early SUNDAY September 23, 1951 Nice day. I attended Priesthood Meeting. Sunday school and evening meeting. Myra is tired and has been in bed most of day Oertel is tired and not felt too well so she has been home all day Myrene came over this evening with Scharlines baby. Have read some and wrote two letters. Retire early |
