Show Saturday 10 Sent telegram to Margaret on her birthday. To hospital Dr. Olson not satisfied with my weight & prescribed a shot for next three days. Nan took my appointment with Dr Staff as I was too late to go. Did some packing & much phoning re business arrangements. Sunday 9. No Sunday School but a busy time. To hospital & got shot Bishop Shurtliff (at our request) & gave us a recommend. Nan out for dinner & pm with Mary. I to Country Club with Laurie & Janet for a going away dinner. Elizabeth, Don & Edith also there. Laurie & Janet visited with me when they brot me home. TV programs eve. Nan home early. Monday 10 Up early busy with last minute packing. Down town Nan to Dr. Stagg with feet. Bought a purse at Nyes to take away. At the hospital got another shot. A terribly hot day. I almost prostrated pm. Louise came & signed recommends for Nan & me. Tired in eve. & early to bed. Tuesday 11 Somewhat cooler today. Nan took me down town at noon to meet Marie & put papers in safety Tuesday 11 To hospital at 930 to see Dr Olson. He says I am OK to go. Had another shot. Did full packing pm. & got luggage in car ready to start out 6 am Wed. Henry came & put our things in car. George, Edith, Janet Betty, Paner family. During pm Laurie came & Janet called. To bed early & had good night. Wednesday 12 Up at 5 am. Scott & Louise came at 6 & took us to Salt Lake Airport a splendid new ride Aboard Flight 103 and on the way at 8 am. Most comfortable seats. Ar. San Fran 1040. Taxi to Pier & waited to board. Lurline until 130. Meanwhile to lunch at Exporion Fish Grotto then abord Lurlins at 130. Pleased with luxurious quarters in stateroom 247. Got nicely settled had a light supper, looked around ship saw a show & to bed for a good night. Smooth sailing. Thursday 1 A little late for breakfast Enjoying the ship & all its fine appointments. Reading in little writing room. |
