Show Wed. 16 Cont. with gifts from our trip. Called at Nans Bettys for talks A late (5 pm) dinner at home. Thursday 17 Making plans for Barker dinner next Thursday. Nan out pm. Margaret, Dorothy & later Ralph came to visit. We had great talk over family affairs. Read some poetry this am with aid of strong glasses. Most pleasing. Fern phoned from Salt Lake. They start home today. Nan home after party for Mary Ls birthday Friday 18 Made definite arrangements for Thursday eve. Did a little reading with large glasses but they strain my eyes. Henry came pm & we got the downstairs rooms nicely arranged. Nan & I took bed to Marie & one to Scott. Tired in eve. Saturday 19. Started a new book on machine P Circuit Rider by Harriett Hanson Dexter Awakens memories of my childhood days Baseball game on radio in down stairs living room very comfortable. Nan & I rode out in eve Stopped in to visit Elizabeth & Edith & got groceries. In later pm. Peter Johnson came to visit. We had good old time visit, that awakened many memories Sunday 20 Opening exercises for Sunday School 10 am. No teacher for our class so Nan & I came home. Nan got dinner for her sests Jeecie & Uncle Wilfred. They went out to visit family after I had radio & TV & reading book at home. Nan & I for a pleasant ride eve. Monday 21 Louise (Bills) came & had breakfast with us. A late mornings progress. Zina Handy came later & so Nan did her washing I reading my Circuit Rider book. Nan & I to Cranes looking about fixtures to remodel her bath. Got pills at hospital & rode around looking at houses. Tuesday 22. A day of company off & on. Charlotte Johnson (Petes wife) came & brot their two boys to see me. Two nieces of Nan & a little boy Jeff came & Nan went out with them Pm. Henry came & talked of his hospital work & his troubles. I finished my Circuit Rider book |
