She was born November 13, 1901 in Denison, Texas, to Reverend W. T. Bartlett and Lucy A. Smith Bartlett. She was educated in Denison Public Schools and at Bishop College in Marshall, Texas. She married Robert Carpenter in 1926 in Dallas, Texas. He preceded her in death. She was a member of New Zion Baptist Church. She was an accomplished musician and rendercd her SCIrviCcs to the churches in Ogden and Salt Lake City. She is survived by one sister, Bessye Bartlett of Ogden, and many friends. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at New Zion Baptist Church. Friends may call at the Myers Mortuary Chapel on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and at the church on Saturday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Interment in Ogden City Cemetery.
